Yda van der Merwe

Yda van der Merwe founded La Paix in October of 2018, with just dream to empower women to heal themselves through nature’s abundant gifts of natural healing.

Born and bred on a working farm in the Northern Cape, Yda spent her youth in thoughtful contemplation in her grandmother’s lush and beautiful garden.

Yda clearly remembers the poignant smell of nature on the red sand dunes of the farm lands after the cleansing and healing rains! If you close your eyes now – you too should be able to smell the peace, unity and soulfulness that this image conjures up.

It was right back then – as a little girl at her grandmother’s knee that Yda knew that she wanted to work with nature’s abundant medicine and beauty chest to help herself and other women feel better about themselves.

Now living in Durbanville, Cape Town, Yda lives with her husband Johan and her two sons. La Paix Natural Derma Cosmeceutical Skin Care are manufactured in a ISO 22716 factory. Yda happily work in her home based studio dreaming and perfecting her passion and mission in life – the La Paix Natural Derma Cosmeceutical Skincare Range.

Yda has over 25 years experience in the beauty industry – where she first implemented her own unique natural remedies of healing skincare for her customers. Her success and the client’s healing and joy fed Yda’s dream and passion to bring an affordable, but quality naturally healing health and beauty product range to women on the street in South Africa.

Young and enthusiastic Yda is a creative entrepreneur – always refining and crafting her product and then always dreaming up new and personalised healing product solutions for her customers.

The La Paix natural skincare range recognises that women need time for self love and to reflect, to work on emotions, to free and balance themselves.

Yda van der Merwe created La Paix as a platform – so that they can start to take care of themselves again.
